It’s that crucial piece of the puzzle to achieving your goals. For some, motivation comes easy. For others, it doesn’t. Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping is unique in that our community of members helps keep each other motivated and accountable.

I work in IT so spend a lot of time sitting. I joined Farrell’s in April 2008 when a friend told me a gym was opening across the street from work, very convenient. My older daughter joined with me to jump-start our summer fitness before vacation. The program did that and so much more - I was hooked! And last year my younger daughter joined the program and loved it. This was a good foundation to keep her going in fitness, now that she’s away at college.
I exercise more intensely at Farrell’s than I do on my own. I credit this to the combination of cardio-kickboxing and resistance training, as well as the atmosphere. Everyone is involved and enthusiastic, and they’re not afraid to express it! I’m still amazed at how much energy I’m able to draw from exercising with a group, particularly when it seems I cannot do another push-up. When the instructor says, “You can do one more, come on!” I know they’re right, and I’m able to push through the wall.
I look forward to my workouts every day! I’ve made many new friends and was honored when the manager asked me to become an instructor. It’s a great responsibility, leading others and pushing them toward their goals of better health and fitness. I want to lead by example and also keep it fun, because Farrell’s is fun! I believe that’s why so many people stick with it – it’s an enjoyable challenge.

Farrell’s Bettendorf came into my life at the perfect time. I needed a change, and needed a change fast. I just had my daughter, eight months prior, in April. I had little to no energy . . .
